Trunk SF is a cooperative boutique and gallery space located in the Lower Haight neighborhood of San Francisco, California. Our boutique features the creations of 23 co-op members, who collectively run the space, with additional works by a wide variety of local artists. Our goal is to personalize the retail experience, connecting shoppers (our friends!) with the creators behind the fashion, accessories, jewelry, gifts and artworks available in the boutique. As a collection of emerging artists, Trunk SF has undergone a huge evolution in its short existence. Originally opened as "Pandora's Trunk" in November 2007, Trunk SF has not only changed its name, but its environmental aesthetic, membership and structure. We are proud to now be an official California Cooperative Corporation, a true co-op through and through! Our boutique is unique in that it features primarily locally-made works, with few unique exceptions, as well as some artists that we are working with to shift their production locally. We believe in helping our community flourish, both in their art and professional sustainability. Many of the artists at Trunk SF use environmentally-friendly materials and methods such as reconstructing and re-using found objects.
